Privacy Policy for FinSight

Overview

FinSight is a privacy-first personal finance app. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal or financial data. All data stays on your device at all times.

Data Storage

All information you enter — transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, and spending history — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device.

Artificial Intelligence

FinSight uses Apple’s CoreML framework for on-device AI features:

• Automatic categorization of merchants from receipt scans
• Weekly spending predictions based on your history

All AI processing happens entirely on your device. No data is sent to external servers for AI processing.

Device Permissions

FinSight requests the following permissions:

• Camera: To scan physical receipts. Images are processed on-device only and never uploaded anywhere.
• Photo Library: To import Apple Pay or bank screenshots. Images are processed on-device only and never uploaded anywhere.
• Notifications: To send weekly spending summaries and reminders. These are generated entirely on-device.

No Accounts Required

FinSight does not require you to create an account. We have no access to your identity or financial information.

No Third Party Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or external services integrated into FinSight.

Children’s Privacy

FinSight does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL.
